Hi All,
we are in the process to buy Teak wood (Burma as well as Gana) door frames for our house.
Architect has given specs like 9"x3", 9"x2", 7"x2" .
Could you please share details of the shops where these specs are available and the approximate cost for the same.

Wood quantification can be done only on arriving at total lengths and no of wood section you need to purchase .Wood is calculated in CFT and current market price for good quality ( there is no true seasoned wood sold in market)teak wood is 4000/ - to 4600/- per cft (cut size sections cost).
Don't buy logs unless you have min quantity other wise you end up with huge wastage that can be used for nothing .For better seasoning you can buy the wood at the begining of the construction so it the wet content in the sections will get dry and while planing you get a better finish.
