Bank which charges Lowest Commission for Demand Draft

Hi,

I am buying two properties and have to get 7 DDs for different denomination ranging from 60K to 7.5L. Can someone suggest me the bank which charges less commission for DDs.

ICICI Bank, CITIBANK, Karnataka Bank, Coporation Bank, SBI, SBM and Canara Bank - I have account here.....

I think, if you want a DD more than 50K, you should have account in that bank. Citi bank doesn't charge for local DDs. Most of the banks charge 2/- rs per 1000.

If you are an account holder of citibank - preferably draw your DD's from them. You can book your DD's either through Internet banking or via phone. They don't charge you anything and deliver to your DD's to doorstep at no extra charges.

Other banks have different slabs for their existng customer and non customers and also whether you transact at home branch or at a different branch. On an average your DD commission will not be less than Rs. 3000 for 7 dd's.
