Re: Construction Process.
This is what I had to do -
1. Put together Copies of all the legal Documents related to the Plot (Like Deed, Conversion etc)
2. Apply & Get Katha and Tax Receipts from BBMP in your name
3. Get the Drawing done from an Engineer who has knowledge of BBMP Rules & Proceedures
4. Apply for Plan approval & pay the relevant fee (Can be done by yourself or Engineer/Architect/Agent)
5. Get the approved plan
6. In Parallel with point 3, you can also start getting the floor diagram and elevation plan done (if its different from the approved plan)
7. Start negotiating with Builders/Contractor/Architects
8. Apply for home loan, if required
9. Get the building contract done
10. Finally house warming ceremony..
All this if you want to do it yourself
My suggestion would be -
If you decide early enough, you can go with one contractor or architect who would all this for you. This will save you a lot of time and energy, which you can apply on your house design.
