Where can i get the Franking for Sale Agreement? What is the process? Time taken and bribe if any.
My site falls in Begur Hobli.
Whats the amount i need to pay to the Lawyer who does this agreement? (including the stamp paper)

Hi,
I have given the sale agreement to the developer to register. However I learnt from him that the franking charges are 0.1% of the Sale Value. Example if the property sale value is 20 Lakhs, the franking charge is (20,00,000x0.001) Rs. 2,000. Bribe may be Rs200.
Can someone confirm if this is right?

No need to pay any bribe. Take the DD for the Franking amount in the name of Sub registrar of the concerned area ( like Sub registrar, Peenya). Go to Sub registrar office where Franking is done along with DD and the Sale agreement. They may take some small amount ( may be around Rs 20) as service charge and will do the Franking.
Collect the receipts for both the payments ( DD and Cash).
Franking is done in some of the Sub registrar office only. So confirm the same before taking the DD. If you are going for Bank Loan, then get the Franking done within one month from the date of execution of the agreement.
