BDA Tax payment

Friends,

I am yet to pay BDA tax payment 2014-15. I was hoping their website will be up and no such luck. Can one of you please tell me which banks accept payment and how to calculate any late fees?

There must be a challan from the BDA to pay the tax in the Bank Counter.

@sun244: You must have got a notice from BDA to pay the taxes. Every year this notice comes some time during end of May - end June. This notice is sent by post to the address of the owner ( as per their official records ). This tax notice is sent in quadruplicate ( 4 in number ). You simply have to fill up date, amount ( both in number and in words ) & proceed to the banks/ branches mentioned in the notice itself. Designated bank / branch issues back to you one of the quadruplicate copy ( sign, seal of the bank with date ) after collecting the tax amount from you. All you have to do is file your copy.
Going by your posting, I have the following queries:
1. Are you a direct allottee from BDA ? In that case you must have got this notice from that year onwards
2. Did you buy this site from some other allottee ? In that case , it is possible that these notices might be going to that person. Just check with that person from whom you have purchased this site.You have to take steps ( I really dont know the details ) so that the new ownership and address is reflected on BDA records

I kind of misplaced the paper since I thought of paying online. I found the paper after searching. Other than my name and site details, everything is in Kannada. I will figure out which Bank through my friends. Any of you know whether there will be any fine or late charges since I am paying in November.
