Did you know?

Out of all the water on Earth, only 2.75% is fresh water: but that's made up of the 2.05% frozen in glaciers, 0.68% as groundwater and just 0.011% of surface water in lakes and rivers. No wonder fresh water is sometimes called 'liquid gold'!

Today 22 march 2013 is celebrated as the World Water Day to Create Awareness on the importance of having clean water to everyone on this earth.

As part of this drive, BWSSB is having a demo at two places. have a look at the attachment for details.

Kindly take a resolution to save water and use it judiciously. We have the responsibility to preserve nature and pass it on

Its sad to know that Everyday almost 2000 kids aged below 5 years are dying b'cos of lack of clean drinking water around the world.
More painful fact is that more than 50% of this count is from India, Pakistan, China, Congro Republic & Nigeria.

In the Infant Mortality Rate index (no of deaths of kids Below 5 years due to lack hygenic condition), India is lagging behind Srilanka
and other small neighbouring countries.
