BDA Khata transfer

Post by pradeepk »

Hi Friends,

Recently i have purchased a BDA site in JP nagar 9th phase. Site registration has been completed last week . Now I want to apply for the BDA Khata transfer. I think, i need to approach Banshankari BDA revenue office for Khata transfer application and need to provide a DD 2% of the registration stamp fees. Can someone tell me the DD should be in favor of whom? BDA commissioner or sub registrar?

Regarding the BDA katha transfer. you have to visit the BDA Revenue office of your area

following documents are required.

1) request letter from your side.
2) Photo attestation form (available in BDA RO office).
3) Sale Deed (1st & 2nd party) xerox
4) Allotment letter xerox.
5) Possession Cerficate xerox.
6) Latest Tax paid receipt xerox.
7) Original Encumbrance Certificate upto date.
8) 1st party Original Katha Certificate.

approch the above said RO office with the originals and also the all the copies as to be attested with gazeted officer. with in the 10 working days they will transfer the katha in your name. and issue the latest tax paid also.
transfer charges 500/- rs

@RaOne , i did not give any application for khata transfer, the person incharge at BDA banshankari office gave me application form to fill.

I find one khata transfer notice in net, this form is for mysore municipal , i think you can take some content out of this form to write an application.

Hi Pradeep,

This post has been really useful, appreciate your effort.

I needed some more clarification on the below points:

1. Do we need original encumbrance certificate to be submitted?? One agent I spoke to said xerox will also suffice. Please clarify
2. DD was drawn in whose favor, can you please provide the name.
3. My BDA site is in Vishweshwaraya Layout, do you have any idea which RO jurisdiction this will belong.

Thanks in advance for your help

Recently I have purchased the house constructed on BDA site. Now I would like to transfer the khatha to my name. Currently I am the third owner.
Could you please tell me the documents that are required for this. Also all my original documents are with Bank. Is it necessary to have original khatha certificate?
Please advise

Thanks& regards,

arrange for the below docs for khata transfer...
1) request letter from your side addressing BDA officer for khata transfer (simple letter mentioning all ur site details)
2) Photo attestation form (available in BDA RO office).
3) Sale Deed (1st & 2nd party) xerox
4) Allotment letter xerox.
5) Latest Tax paid receipt xerox.
6) Original Encumbrance Certificate upto date. Get it from registration office
7) 1st party Original Katha Certificate. If this is with bank, request them to provide and you shall get it..

Thanks for the reply.

What I heard that once BDA transfers the khatha to new person they will take the old original certificate. So in my case I am having the original khatha certificate from 2nd party but I don't have the original khatha certificate of the first party for whom BDA site was allotted.
