saisuraksha:
I am buying plastering sand(river sand) from Holenarasipura from 3 different suppliers, and all of them charge between Rs 26000 and Rs 28000 per load measuring 450 CFT. This works out to be 58 to 62 Rs per cft. The ones that sell below these rates either provide less quantity( < 400 cft) or have mixed sand/filtered sand with too much mud content.

Are there vendors who provide river sand at Rs 35 per cft?. This would mean Rs 15750 per load of 450 CFT and this would be really a good deal.

For Rs 35/= we get the sand but lot of Filter sand is added and i dont prefer that kind of sand but for filling some area below the tiles laying this kind is ok.

For Pastering Rs 42/= per CFT river sand i am using. My vendor is giving for 27k and i think the quantity is about 600 cft to 620 cft.

Till know i thought my contractor is expensive, but after seeing your estimates seem like it's fine, estimates seems matches with mine some times better than what i am paying. couple of places where i found lot of difference are

D RCC
Raghu Yours
Footing 135 160
Lintel 170 240

E Plastering
33 30

But my guys charges more in Granite/Tile laying, 75 rs/SQFT, this what i found in quick glance, will try to get more comparisons

Hi
There is one more advantage ( i donot know whether this is an advantage) i need not supervise anything , very reliable guy and stays very close by. he will not cheat......at any cost.......takes full responsibility.
Since he knows me very well, its little difficult to negotiate.but after seeing many estimates in this forum..i feel i am paying little more( at least 2-3 lacs)
