Hi,

I have to start plastering for my individual house and got first load of Roboplast (Plastering sand from Robo Sand company). My mestri today was saying that it is not Triple water washed and colour is too dark. It might lead to air cracks on plastered surface. However, the company sales person is saying that it is as per ISO standard and will not develop air cracks. Please let me know if we anyone has used it or your views on the same.

I have used it in my building and I do not see cracks..it is just incorrect belief..Herr are few things you can do to reduce plastering cracks

Ensure plaster mixture is not watery
Use PPC cement instead of 43 or 53 grade, as it dissipates zero heat
Add integral water proofing compound to make it PMC. This greatly helped me with water proofing as well as good plastering
Cure it atleast 3 times a day
