Hi,

Will the registration charges go up if I register a land for a value more than the government value.
For example, if the govt value is 1000/sq.ft and the agreement value is 1500/sq.ft. If I want
to register for 1500/sq.ft, will the registration charges be 6.72%+1% or will be like 6.72%+1%+x%?

Thanks,
Dhanesh.

Registration charges is on the actual registering value not limited to the Guidance value.

If registering @ Rs. 1,500/sq.ft, stamp duties will be 6.72 % + 1% of Rs. 1500 X Plot dimention(Say 1200 sq.ft).

if reigistering @ Rs. 1,000/sq.ft, Stamp duties will be 6.72 % + 1 % of Rs. 1000 X Plot Dimension(say 1200 sq,ft)

At the same time, Registrations can't be done below the Government guidance value.
