So are others mentioning 28%/18% is NET or is it MRP-18%+14.5%?

Wherever I enquired Chabbria or PC Mallapa or others, everyone says 28% or 30%, but then add 14.5% post the discount which brings down the discount value, unless you get it without bill, which none of the big shops mentioned above agreed.

Net-discount+VAT and Net+VAT-discount both will give same pricing as per my example. So there is no point of going adding VAT before of after discount. Just negotiate for discount. see my example both the price are coming as 9839 .

Net+VAT-discount

Net (10480)+VAT(14.5% = 1519) -discount (18% = 2159) = 9839

Net-discount+VAT

Net(10480)-Discount (18% = 1886)+VAT (14.5% on 8593 = 1246) = 9839.
