Hi I am a builder by profession these are things we encounter on a day to day basis.First of all you should understand that there are rules of the land that need to be followed.If your neighbor has a huge plot it is a luxury that he enjoys .You cannot deny that fact.You can only request him and be good to him or her.If you are building this house for you to stay try and generate positive energy .You will never have the feel good factor if you have negative energy around you.You may have waged a battle with him and his wife and you might have thought that you won.There are several issues that come up here according to law one is if they are senior citizens they can put you in big time trouble for harassment and if they have a lawyer they can do a lot of things.They can very easily stall your construction forever by getting a stay order and you will have to run to the courts continuously.The solution is very simple get friendly with them.You have to shed your ego and go and make up with them for what you can term as an unfortunate event that happened where you fought with them the other day.You can also tell them that Uncle see I have a very very small site when compared to such a huge property that you have and we seek your blessings to complete the house.They would have also taken loans and gone thru what you are going thru when they built their house.There is a saying in Kannada "MANE KATTI NODU MADHUVE MAADI NODU" .My sincere suggestion don't go to fight .It is useless in long run.

Another point is just think if you were in his position what would you have done.Is what you are doing justified.This will calm you down a lot.

I really appreciate your suggestions and always think in these lines. Am usually a humble person.
I have been very kind and polite from the beginning, and always given a deaf ear for the bullying words from them for
a while and tried to talk it out, but sometime i felt, just because i kept quite, and did not retaliate, they have started taking it as an advantage.
I know the person's age is a advantage for him and that is the reason, he is trying to play around with me, so if i harm him, then he will be at vantage point.
and am in trouble.

This is now become more of a person war, rather than a squabble over abortment of 10ft. This is how i feel sometimes people take extreme steps and
commit crimes for small things. Investing couple of lakhs or corers, no one will keep quite if they cross the red line of patience of a person.
