Finally plumber said he could rent the pump from Naidu layout (ittamadu).
Apparently many rentals operate from there.
But the test itself was an eyewash. He just connected the pump to each
of the section separately and manually pumped the water. When there
were no water squirting from the joints, he declared "test passed".

My plumber is also saying that he doesn't have a pump but promised to get one.
We have 5 bathrooms in total...how is the test done ? Do we need one pump per BR ?
Somewhere I read you've to leave it for 24 hours. If so, is it 24 hours * 5 Bathrooms...i.e. 5 days for
full test ?

My plumber claims connecting to OHT and checking is the way to check pressure but
contractor firm on pressure test...

How can I measure the pressure ? I have a borewell (the yield is pretty low though)....if I don't get the pump can I put that to use to test pressure ?
