I agree with you about Saint Gobain. I have got a quotation for this in range from Rs 58-75/sqft Depending on the quality of the framework and the design.

Hi guys
In current market gypsum false celling starts at 45/- per Str and goes up to 90/-per sft.price mentioned is for plain work.
If you have too many details, ups & downs, free forms cost goes high.
Keep in mind that any thing less than 1'x1' size is considered as one Sft.
Boarders ,steps are measured in running feet.
More corners - high cost

If some one looking for pop guys PM me ,I can reffer some good one.

Hi Mr. Praveen,

I'm planning for a living room ceiling border and some designs need your expert advice whether to go for gypsum/pop border or to get it done in cement.

My requirement is to have a ceiling border, a pillar with some design and kitchen entrance from living room (which is a square cut) of 8 ft width

If gypsum/pop border, plz refer to some reliable person

Thanks
Mahesh

Hi,
There are some advantage and disadvantage in pop and cement cornice some are listed below
For cement cornice work u need a skilled labor the sealing should be perfectly leveled, if the cornice is done with cement it will be a permanent fixture and if u want to change after few years u need to chip it which will be uncomfortable in a living house. If u going with pop it is cheaper than the cement cornice but in future it will form cracks which looks ugly and u need to change pop. And there are some alternate materials u can go with ply boards which may cost more than pop and cement cornice according to your budget u can plan what ever u want .

Mahendar
