raghu,
i did check with the vendor. they said it's the carpenter's handling while fixing the mesh. However the carpenter who has about 15 yrs experience says it's the wood which is causing the cracks.
i am sure you have seen the seasoning process and the factory. please take informed decision and ...

i have recently got these and personally not happy. there have been cracks while fixing the mesh to the window frames.
may be if i had spent few lacs more, i would have been happy with 2nd teak or burma teak.
just sharing my experience.

Thanks for your reply. The base of the staircase also has support with MS pipe etc. I am looking to outsource this work. If you know any fabricator or contractor, can you please refer.

Hi All, I am constructing a duplex house in north bangalore. need to do an internal staircase. Its an MS staircase with wooden cladding.
I need to know the fabrication cost per step.
Details:
3" (6mm thk M.S plate as side profile)
10" (6mm thk M S plate as tread)
wooden cladding on the MS plate ...
