Hi ,

I have bought BBMP A khata site from person A . I have not yet got my khata transferred.
Is it possible to sell the same site to another person B ?
Is it mandatory for khata to be in my name for selling it to person B ?

if the buyer is going for the loan for the plot purchase, then the hfc's or banks would ask for the documents and offcourse, khata certificate. if that is not transferred, then the chances of loan approval would be less.

I say, since khata transfer is not a tedious work, its worth transferring it to your name (assuming you have other documents handy such as EC, Tax Paid receipt, mother deed, absolute sale deed etc).
