Please review below bill quoted by my contractor, All tiles and granites was purchased by me. below cost include laying charge, cement, sand and other powder materials.....etc

Vitrified flooring 50Rs/sqft
Vitrified skirting 50 Rs/sqft
Ceramic flooring and daddoing 50 Rs/sqft
Ceramic skirting 50 Rs/sqft
Parking tiles 50 Rs/sqft
Parking skirting 50 Rs/sqft
Granite flooring 70 Rs sqft
Granite skirting 70 Rs/sqft
Granite half round 35 Rs/sqft


Does above quoting looks reasonable as per current charge...?

Please let me know at the earlies since i need to do payment after hearing from you all.

We can share our experience only, if you are supplying raw material then it does sounds fare.
I paid following without material (only labor)

Virtified Floor : 20
Virtified Wall: 23
Marble : 60 + Cutting Charges
Granite: 35
Nosing (Half): 35
Full : 60

The prices quoted by your contractor for laying including cement mortar , curing, grouting etc are reasonable and as per market rates . we pay up to 75/- per sft for tile but this is for main single contractor price .
When you opt for individual contractors for flooring ,painting,electrical etc prices will always be less since misc items are not covered in their cost .Like
lifting the tiles & granite , pop and cleaning , acid wash ,coordination of labor and design execution etc.

The other members in the thread have already done a great job at highlighting the costs of laying tiled flooring. More important than the cost of laying tiles, you should pay careful attention to the product that is being used to fix the tiles to the surface. I usually like to use Roff new construction tile adhesive. It has been very effective in the past and has proven to be a long lasting solution as well.
