The prices in BDA SMV layout is Rs 2000+ Even a revenue site today is costing Rs 1900+ with no safety, in a year or two development will be there as Water line is being in progress.

100ft road separates the 1st and the 2nd block; it goes on to meet the Kenchanapura Road if you go on straight North or else turn right (east wards) near SMV Layout Block-1, Park-4 and you go meet the Outer Ring road.

Hello smvdvs, I am only aware of site numbers with digits only, without any slash. Don't know though if it applies for areas which have intermediate pockets of non-BDA areas in them. I'm sorry, my friend, my knowledge of 5th block isn't great, nor could I find anyone in the forum list who has a site in the 5th block.

I met one of the engineers of the layout and he says all work like,
sewage will be completed by December,2011
Lighting------------november-2011
asphalting -----------january,2012
water ----------------march 2012
As per this commitment, we should be done with 100% lighting and sewage in Dec;does any one have idea what the real situation on the ground is? Asphalting of the roads is scheduled next month and that should leave us with water in March. This should see a mushrooming of constructions in the area, if the work really happens as per what they have completed.

Its in the news that all the BDA layouts will be handover to BBMP by beginning of the next year, does anyone has any idea , is SMV also will be handover to BBMP
by beginning of next year, if so than we can expect little development compared to BDA /Bangalore destroying authority

whether the plot is in BDA or BBMP limit will not make any difference for the common man. Other than few areas close the ORR, rest of the Areas are not in good shape to go and reside. Same situation in BSK 6th & Anjanapura also.
An end user looks whether he can stay and run his day to day activities peacefully i.e. going for job, schools,
Hospitals and a secured neighbourhood. In many areas of SMV, few gutsy people have constructed the houses and neither they live or unable to find tenants even at Rs.3000 for a 2BHK.
