Still waiting for the first disbursement from Axis Bank

......
I was hoping to have the major part of the external work completed before peak Monsoon. However look like there will be delays thanks to Axis Bank
Only good part is that the Contractor said he will try to do whatever possible with materials that are remaining. And try to keep the schedule.
Visited their branch in Jayanagar yesterday not much help from there, I have written email to Nodal office today...
Next steps: Just Waiting

Hi Martin,
Column boxes of 7 feet height? How did you manage to put cement concrete at the height of 7 feet ?
Also, are u going to construct in red bricks (or) cement blocks? If cement blocks, any brand decided upon?
Regards, Balaji

Finally got the First disbursement done by Axis Bank after a 10 days delay from when they confirmed the DD was ready.
Bought a 1 HP Taro Pump from Bomanahalli, INR 4350, 2 yrs Warranty
Today planning to go for purchasing wood with the contractor for the GF, Door and Window Frames. The wall will be constructed only after placing the Frames.
Hey Balaji - Yes we got Column boxes for 7 Feet and we put the concrete. we used a vibrator to make sure the concrete settles in completely.
We are using solid cement blocks, We are going with a cement block company very close to our plot its not a branded one like APCO or Basant.
The first lot which we received were pretty decent.

Poornima timbers right? Their prices are little bit less comparing to other wood dealers in hosur road stretch ( From silkboard to hosaroad).

This was Prabhat Timbers after Jail on Hosa Road, The contractor is the regular customer there and hence he said he gets good quality at decent price.
Since we took cut pieces, We were able to choose from the lot he had. We went for Straight, Less white in Red Sal, No Pin holes in Teak.

Hi Martin,
Please check the Grains on the Teak wood, It is better to take the same Wood of Big Piece & cut into the Pieces as the grains will be uniform across the Pieces.
In the Cut pieces there will be a mix of grains & on the Front doors it will not look good.
