Guys because of some delay my order was not ready, but i got a sample piece from GITA timbers, thought it's not making justice. but may clear some doubt on how the wood looks, unfortunately this section doesn't show the finger joints, let me know you are able to access

also i was browsing through old insideoutside magzine and came across this company, which makes SOLID WOOD PANEL using same technology, not sure about rates

We ordered 10 doors of engineered acasia from Gita timbers. We received them and have also started polishing them (walnut wood look). We are happy with the product. It gives a very rich and elegant look!!!

Also, a quick question to all those who have gone with Engineered Acasia - do you know how long this product has been in use and what the long term issues might be such as warping and maintenance? My architect is hesitant to go with this due to issues she has seen with other engineered wood for doors and windows before.

Thanks,

concept is 4-5 year old in Bangalore, pretty old in other parts of world. My architect has this wood for staircase to her office and it's outside. it been exposed to all kinds of natural elements
-rain
-Sun heat
- daily at least 30-40 ppl walking
-been there for 3 years, and no polishing or painting is done

and still it looks fine,
