Any idea about the cost incurred or paid to get to this level? Was just wondering how much it costs at different phases

Hi Martin,
Are you not using the mats below the metal sheets ?

Dear Mr.Martin
I am not seeing any tension rods in the images you have posted. Between two cranked rods, there should be plain rods almost to the same length of cranks and at same level. Your engineer or contractor will generally not miss this important rods, but the barbenders miss them. Please take care.
Regards.

@ Chandrashekar - we have 1 plain roads in between the 2 cranked rods. Not sure If your referring to the same
@ Balaji - We haven't put the mats. Tapes were put inbetween the metal sheets to plug the gaps and some oil was brushed on the sheets.

Hi Mr.Martin!
I'll try to explain you in a best possible way. Since you have already completed the concreting, it may help you or others who try to learn from this forum.
(Really worried of engineering being neglected).
You have clearly mentioned that there is a plain rod in between two cranked rods. Please understand that the crank rods are at top level where as the plain rods are at bottom level. In between two cranked rods, an extra plain piece of rod at the level of the cranked rods are to be added throughout. These rods are the important rods which take care of bending moment of slabs near supports

. Bar benders understand them as "extra bars"
Regards

Hi chandrashekar,
One basic question.
What are cranked rods and plain rods?
Can you show a pic of how the rods should be placed?
Thanks,
Ramki

Hi Chandrasekar - The roof slab steel work has been completed as per the structural engineers drawings.. I also had my uncle verify the entire thing before the concerte work started.
