I am doing a construction since last 8 months for my house and i have rarley come across people who are genuine for 2nd and 3rd time -:)

Luckily i got hold of some good sand supplier for now who does professionally well to the extent in the sand market.

Typically he brings the load from Harihar (280 KM from Blr) and Sindanur - Near Raichur District(550 KM from Blr).

Harihar Sand 10 wheeler Mahindra Navistar measuing 950 CFT he use to charge 60,000 - 61,000 for us few months back. Post rainy reason he stopped from there due to restrictions on load they allow etc and serving from Sindanur place for which i bought at 68,000 RS during rainy season.

Again the price has come down recently same load costs for 63,000 like that.

My suggestion is as below. Do not blindly order things. i know time may be a constraint but 60K is not a small amount and at the same time we cannot compromise on the sand quality.

When the load comes he calls me and stops at Nelamangala juction and i go and do a quality check and fix the price on the spot if deal works he comes and delivers.
He will be able to serve west Bangalore i.e Vijayanagar,Nagarbhavi,Magadi rd etc..if it;s other part of Bangalore they will charge 2-3 k extra due to commutation involved.

I am also constructing a house at Rajarajeshwari Nagar. I just got the first load of sand from Belakavadi for Rs.23.5K for 6 wheeler Tata SE truck. The sand quality is very good. Is it a good rate or I have paid more?

rate is fine an avg price.

I got the sand yesterday from Tirchi. TN. Sand is good, less "Kapi" (stones and other stuff, as contractor says) Paid 24.5 for 430 CFT.
