Material supply & rates.
I got Steel Price Rs. 43000/Ton. (Prime Gold TMT), Basic rate.
Can anybody tell me the Cost (steel price and bending and placement) - Rs. 59,500 / Ton.
is the quotation of my contractor, is it true?

i think you are talking about Bar bending and centering for this labor activity it should be around Rs 25 per sq feet.
For a 1000 sq ft, for a good quality construction you will need 2.5 tons to 3 tons depending on the plan. With this given number please do your maths.

wanted to check the current material rates that i am paying is fine or should i find alternatives :-

steel indus 48k/ton
jelly 20mm @ 24/cft
sand tirchi 24,500/400 cft
cement dalmia 53grade @ 280/bag for 100+

your feedback would be helpful.

Jelly and cement price is fine. You can get Trichy sand for 1-2k lesser if you bargain well. where are buying Indus for 48k ? I am paying 50k at Marathahalli.

JSW Steel is available for around 49K at most of the dealers. Also JSW PPC cement is available around 270 per bag.

Can you tell me the total number of rods with dia and the weight quoted by the shop who gave you at 48k ?

The weight he has given me for each bundle is
> 20mm 60kg/bundle
16mm 58
12mm 54.5
10mm 52
8mm 48
Recently he took 48500/ton coz the steel rate had increased.48k was the rate 2months back when we started.
