Narayana Nagar (Bank officers Layout) - Cauvery water

To those owners of plots in Narayana Nagar (off Kanakapura Road); also called as "Bank Officers and Officials House Building Co-operative Society Ltd" or BOOHBCS) :

I came to know from the Society offices that plot owners have to pay

- Rs. 20,000 (Cauvery water charges, non-refundable)
- Rs. 25,000 Fixed Deposit

towards Cauvery water supply connection. Apparently the society owes this amount to BWSSB.

If you've already paid or aware of this (and not paid), please post in this forum. Also, any news about layout can be shared.
Can other site owners tell if they've gone thru this process as well ?

Admins: please take note and upload the attachments asap.

Thanks for sharing files with admin.We limited the uploading capacity to 1mb for spammer issues and space constrains initially.

There was a Society/Association meeting today to discuss about Cauvery water. It seems the order to supply water to the Layout (all 3 blocks) has been given. But the society is now asking that everyone shell out 45K each. Today's meeting was lengthy and at the end lots of people were asking queries (everyone wants water though ). Society/Association folks were saying in 6-8 months the supply should begin. They have paid abt 5 crores to Bwssb and need to pay another 5 crores it seems.

Just thought I'll share this for the benefit of owners who couldn't attend. Contact Society/Association for meeting minutes (hope they would have one).

Few more interesting things: it seems there are 110 villages under BBMP limits and there is 100 MLD Kaveri water available. Water is given to those who can fund the BWSSB infrastructure to supplky water it seems. Also some 50 MLD has been already allocated to Surya city (near Electronicy City) ...only remaining for the rest. all these are things I vaguely understood - take it at your own risk
