Is BDA site in Arkavathy layout worth investing?

Post by gopinathpc »

I am planning to invest in a a 20X80 BDA site in Arkavathy layout.
I got an offer for about 35L (including registration). Is this worth investing for medium term (2 to 3 years)?
Will this area be fully developed in 2 years?

Hi Gopi, I would assume the 20x 80 was a typo and you meant 20x 30? I have only come across 30x40 and 40x60 sites that have been alloted under landlord's share in Arkavathy. Please reconfirm on the the site size and where exactly is 19th block.

Sorry it was a typo - it should be 20X30. I don't have the location where exactly the site is.

35L for a 20x30 sounds expensive! Have prices appreciated so much there now?

Sorry. It's actually in 19th block (not 9th block). Do you know if HDFC has approved this layout for loans?

Hi Gopi,

Investing is worth given the location(North bangalore) of Arkavathy layout. Only thing is we have to wait for the development from BDA

@Parkom --> I too purchased a site (30*40) in 18th block opposite to mantri splendour. Let's catch up some time

@Niranjan
Given that I would be paying Rs 5500 psft how much appreciation one can expect in 2 years or so?
Are there houses already constructed in 19th block?

Hi Gopi,

5,500 per sft is very costly to purchase. I think current price is between 4000 to 4500 per sft. If the market continues to be good, Price is expected to be 5500 to 6000 per sft after 2 years. If you can keep it for longtime and 5500 persft is in your budget you can go for it.

I am not sure about houses being constructed in any of the arkavathy blocks. Basic amenities development is still in progress. But I believe surrounding areas of most of the arkavathy layout blocks are either developed or being developed.

Please advice.
