@Kalidas: Mr.Kalidas you are correct. 4000 acres aquisition is going to happen very soon in that area for layout named Nijalingappa layout. Gunjur, Carmelaram, Sarjapur and some other areas are coming under BDA aquisition area and already selected areas are notified.

To everyone. I have seen throughout this topic about BBMP approved. See, BBMP don't have any authority to approve layout. BBMP is only the city corporation who are responsible to collect TAX and maintain Bangalore city. There are 3 approval body. BDA - for Bangalore Urban, BMRDA - for Bangalore Rural and DTCP - outside Bangalore city limit.

Additional info: Everybody heard about BIAAPA I think. They only give NOC for developing residential layout and for construction. Gram Thana limit means any residential plot, layout, house coming within 200 meters radius of village limit. This 200 meters starts after village limit. Government have to aquire (if they want) lands after leaving 200 meters. So, whatever coming inside this 200 meters is safe.
