Hi,
I did not find a separate thread for latest wood prices. If you have made a recent purchase, please share the price with timber yard details. Thanks.

Hi,
I went ahead and purchased the wood need for my house. Just for everyone's benefit, here are the prices

1) Honne - 1900 - 2100 , container wood is cheaper than round log.
2) Burma Teak - 5500 - 7500 based on girth dia, purchased round log needed for 15 inch planks, costed 6300 per cft.

centuryply, kitply, Greenply are good for interiors. You are better off getting a good modular fella to do the work for you rather than you trying to get the plywood yourself and finding labour work to do what is necessary.

NKNewFlat, I have tried Sonear and that is also very very good. I checked with many carpenters, they had not heard of it but the wood is Gurgan, very heavy etc.. but yes now Green gold, green gold, century ply is doing well. If you need a reliable person to provide you materials I can easily direct you to a person with whom i went along with. Due to my reference he is also supplying to another member in this group. Do let me know.

Thanks
