Jaquar Faucets - now fixed price from April 1st, 2015?

Hello,

I came to know thru couple of Jaquar dealers that Jaquar now given them Customer Retail Price or something of similar name and they are not allowed to discount off of it. Only 1 or 2% max. Is this true? Unbelievable!

With their more than 60% market share and good brand equity, are they just acting like monopoly at the cost of customers? Not sure it is a good thing or bad thing. But at this point in time, customers may have to pay the published price or go elsewhere.

Yes ! I am facing the same issue with Jaquar fittings and they give it at a rate called NRP. Each fitting will have a different discount on the MRP ranging from 2% to ~10% and for fast moving items they have lesser discount %.

I have moved away from Jaquar for this reason as Hindware offers nearly the same type of fittings at 28% discount.

Personally I wont prefer Hindware mainly because all leading public toilets/hotels have Hindware. Although Hindware have good italian collection but people will never recognize. hence opted for CERA which is value for money and dealer give discount upto 30% with 10year warranty (same as Jaguar).

i would go with ESS ESS with 30% off on MRP.

Jaguar, I would suggest Chabria and sons Infantry road
20 % off on MRP, or Some discount on NRP
