Post by mahesh2780 »

Hello All,

Please help me buy chimney for my dream house.

I have by now read a lot on chimneys
I assume the following are Main things we need to consider
1. Type Island or Wall mounted, i need wall mounted
2. Suction - i am looking at min 1000m3
3. Filter less
4. Fully concealed motor
5. Big capacity oil tray or collector .
6. 90cm

There are so many brands to choose Siemens, KAFF, Faber, Elica, Glen, Gilma
But here i need fellow members advice please.

I have shortlisted
KAFF CANBERA 90 model, please suggest, comment
Performance with Looks are priority

Mahesh,

I think KAFF 90 canberra model costs about 35K+. In that range, you can also consider Teresa 90 from Nagold which is distributed by Hafele. I recently bought ORO 90 - 4 burner hob and TERESA 90 chimney (hood) from Nagold and it is a good combination. Suction capacity is about 1200 which meets your requirements as well

Hi Mahesh,

Sorry for the late reply. Due to forum rules, I will send you a PM with the details of the vendor. The ORO 90 - 4 burner hob and TERESA 90 as a combo cost me 61k after discount. The current price may differ depending on what offer is currently running

Thanks,
Karthik

Hello All,

Could anyone please provide some reviews/feedback on the Hafele Nagold kitchen appliances (built-in hobs, chimney, microwave, oven)?
I am specifically looking for inputs on their J series appliances: TERESA 90 (chimney), ORO-80-4 or AURA-78 (hob), J70 BIO (oven), J32MWO (microwave).

Thank you!

My few cents,
Why do we need a chimney in the Kitchen ? Do we think its a modern technique and a matter of prestige to have one by spending Rs. 20-50K ??
If so we are totally wrong and foolish. In the western countries, due to their climatic condition, they have a closed kitchen and hence they go for a chimney to flush out the hot air. We must remember we are not living in a cold country.

When we give a good ventilation (minimum 2 windows for cross- ventilation in our kitchen), there is absolutely no necessity for Exhaust fan or the Chimney in the kitch. Its pity to see majority of the so called educated and cosmopolitan people are not thinking in this natural way.!!!
