I am planning to get a 200 lts Solar heater, (Sometime around the 3rd week or 4th week of Dec). If we have a couple of more folks to buy Solar heaters, I think we can try to get a good deal from a distributor.

Got the following quotes: All vendors preferr to use ETC (tube) based systems for hardwater.
Tata Solar Duro Model 200 Ltrs (For Hardwater upto 2000 TDS): 24500 (ETC); 29800 (FPC system);
Anu Solar 200 Lts (22900) - 5 Years Replacement Guarantee.
Racold Solar 200 Lts (22800) - 5 Years Replacement Guarantee.
All prices include VAT & Transportation charges within Bangalore. (If we buy 3 or more we might get some additional discount)
All the three systems have an option to use Electric Backup.
Based on the majority, we can finalize on one of the above models. Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

I don't think Anyone will offer the discounts on the solar water heaters, because they are 30% subsidized by the Govt and the rates are fixed. Anyway, you can still inquire and do let us know your findings.
