Electrical Conduit Materials

Post by srinihome »

Hello Everyone,

We are in the process of buying Conduit Materials for Walls and are finding them to be unknown brands ( without any Brand imprinted on them). For slab, we procured Universal Brand which they say is not required for walls, and was shown some Metro Spark (no branding on the pipes). Did check with another store and they have gMonisa (branding on the pipes).

Is it normal? Does anyone suggest VIP or Universal for Walls, please advise.

Regards,

ViP is a well known brand but there are enough duplicate VIPs as well.
There are two qualities heavier one for mould (RCC) and lighter for walls. My 2 cents put the thicker one for mould everyday the price difference is very less.

Thanks, Visualizer.

Yes for all the RCC Slab G+2 we went with Universal HMS (https://universalpipes.net/products).

Unfortunately, the same store is not selling the MMS version of the same and is trying to push some unknown brand.
All the other stores that I could check around Nagrabhavi is selling unknown brands without branding information, hence the dilemma :(

You can check the prices below:
http://www.vippipe.com/downloads/
They do offer a discount it was around 17.5% before lockdown.

We bought 50 Length (150Mts) of 19MM and 40 Length (120Mts) of 25MM plus couplers and bends.
I don't think they have any minimum order qty as such, but you need to account for transport charges ( We had arranged our own).

Hi,
Vip pipes are the best brand available in the market but getting a genuine VIP brand is difficult in neighborhood markets. You can always try in Kr market and most of those vendors will supply a minimum of 50 lengths, taking less than it is also not feasible to transport the same.
In VIP you get light, medium & heavy in terms of thickness of pipe wall. Heavy is generally recommended for slabs to avoid breakage of pipes while concreting, during concreting time the gang men are least bothered about your pipes or steel getting damaged.
