Does BESCOM generate printed bills like we get for permanent connection for a temporary connection?
How are the charges calculated for Temporary Connection.
Our is 4KW Temporary Connection for construction and we have received verbally that the first month bill is around 3000plus and the units consumed so far is around 200 units. I am trying to understand the calculation behind it.
Any inputs in this regard are highly appreciated.

1. Do BESCOM generate printed BILL
- Once the current reading is submitted to the respective BESCOM Division office it has to be signed and approved by JE, thereupon an estimated amount to be paid with due date will be provided (in our case it was handwritten note). Upon payment the receipt would be provided.
After couple of days (2-4days) the bill would be posted on BESCOM portal (https://www.bescom.co.in/SCP/Myhome.aspx), one can register a account with provided Account ID and can view the bill.
2. Calculation
- Will comprise of 3 Sections

- 1. Weekly Minimum Energy Charges: 210 Rs per kW, so it translates to 210 x Sanction Load x kW as per the billing period
- 2. Fuel Cost Adjustment Charges: 0.12 Rs per KWH, this is based on the units consumed and the readings submitted & approved
- 3. Tax: 5.7 % roughly
