Joint walls waterproofing

Post by milangadakari »

Hi all,

On one side mine and my neighbors wall join. What would I do to ensure the water doesnt seep in over the period of time and cause dampness.

Simple solution for this is, pasting tile on the top of the joint wall.
i have done this is recently and it works like a charm.
dont wast money and time by thinking too much technical.
if you want to see the fix i have done and if you are living somewhere in bangalore south (bannereghatta road) contact me.

I stay in Nagarbhavi..I would love to see a picture of it.
Just to ensure I understand it correctly you suggested laying tiles slanted to one side by making a grove cut to put the tile.

Hi MG,

If your and neighbors wall are of equal height you can go ahead with solution provided by ragalax. From your question above i assume your wall is higher than your neighbors or vice versa in this case you can use your slant tiling approach but ensure you chip off the plastering before cementing and placing the tile for better results.
