Request for solution of water leakage from terrace to kitchen wall

Dear Sir,

I have read lot of articles on construction during my house construction.
We have constructed 3 independent houses in Gnd, Ist floor and II floor in the year 1997, 2001 and 2011 respectively. Our neighbor has constructed 2nd and 3rd floors in 2009.While constructing our house we have provided setbacks except in south east area where we have constructed our kitchen and toilet by butting with adjoining walls of neighbor house. As our neighbor has constructed in 2009 he could do cement plastering of his house walls but we could not do cement plastering of kitchen and toilet walls butting with adjoining walls of neighbor house.
During rainy period water seeps from terrace to kitchen wall and toilet wall.
We tried to arrest water leakage by putting birla white cement on the cracks of joints between walls on the terrace.
If reqd,We will enclose few pics for your reference.
Please suggest any proven solution to arrest water seepage.

Thanks

Best thing is always leave set back all-round, so that you can plaster and maintain your property well. You can check with water proof people for solution. Let us know your resolution.
