Robo Sand Testing

Post by sunil2929 »

Hi All,

Can some one suggest a place in bangalore to get my robo sand tested ? What is the cost ?

What is the right proportion of Robo sand to be used for slab work. My engineer as suggested to go with M20 grade. ( 1 cement : 1.5 Sand : 3 Jelly).

I am planning to use 25% of Robo sand and the rest 75% with natural sand in my mixture for slab work.

Sunil if its only 25% robo then why are you testing and using it ? better go with 100% natural sand as sand is time tested for constructions compared to the new robo concept.

I am not opposing robo but using it for 25% may not save a lot of cost compared to natural sand.If using 25% makes it stronger then you might as well go for 100% robo where in you can gain double benefits.

Hi Ausraja,

Thank you for you suggestion. However i have completed my first slab yesterday. Used 25% of Robo sand and 75% of trichy sand. I followed 1:2:3 ratio which is nearly equally to M20 grade of concentrate.
