LPG Gas Piping Laying Material cost

Post by Nivas »

I checked with several people for LPG gas piping(non reticulated simple one) , the range is from 110 to 170 Rs Per Running feet of Copper pipe line depending on the gauge of the Pipe and total running feet(total profit), plus they charge extra for valves. Given 2 to 4 man days of labour for a 50 to 100 ft installation, what is their margin ? The cheapest 20 Gauge PVC coated copper Pipe is 2000 Rs or less for 50ft coil mere 40 Rs feet . The best available around 2mm thick (between 14 and 15 Gauge) is Rs 4000 or less for 50 ft coil , which mere 80 Rs per feet and weighs b/n 7 to 7.5 kg per 50ft coil. These pipes are commonly available in SP road bangalore. given the above data one should be able to judge and negotiate a better price and determine quality on weight basis .

Nivas. Thanks for the information.

I also checked with 2 vendors and asked for what "brand" they use. They just avoided the question and said "sar - we have put this in many houses and no complaints"...

Did you get any brand information for the pipes you checked out?

Hi There,

If we buy copper pipe from SP road, how much it would cost for labour charges?
I am being asked Rs.50/- per feet for labour charges.

Has any one got this done?
Kindly share the details.

Thanks !
Rathod.
