Happy Ugadi to dear members.

After we started plastering, we ran out of Sand and unfortunately my contractor didn't had an idea, so he didn't stock the sand :(
We had to stop the work for couple of weeks and later managed to get sand ofcourse at a higher price. Now the internal plastering is closing to end and plumbing work has started.
In the meantime i had visited many shops (from various references) to look for Tiles, sanitary-ware etc but wasn't satisfied with pricing and collections. Finally narrowed down on a shop close to JSS circle, kanakapura road and bought the following materials.

Kitchen and Utility Sinks from Carysil brand

Glazed Ceramic tiles - 800mm * 1200 mm For flooring, bought a satin finish (600 * 600 ) for Kitchen and pine wooden look alike (600 * 600) )for Bedrooms. Somany Brand

Vitrified wall and floor tiles for bathroom with highlighter tiles - all are 300 mm * 300 mm. All from Somany brand

Wall hung Commode and Concealed tanks from Cera brand

Vitrified tiles for Puja room walls - 600 mm * 600 mm from Tocco brand

Other Accessories

I am also constructing a house in Bangalore. Can you indicate model name and approx. cost for the tiles you have selected which will be very much helpful.

Regards

Hi Prakash,
It would be difficult for me to list out all the models here...cost wise Somany Ultra large floor tiles costs me 101 per sqft including VAT and rest of them in the range of 60 to 65 per sqft including VAT.
Wall mounted Western toilet costed me 6,500 including VAT.

dear Ravi,
I just saw your earlier post and checked that you had enquired about the gas Piping for your house.
Most of them charge 120-150 persqft which basically includes material + fitting. so i feel the vendor is asking too much.
btw, have you finalized?

Yes, the gas pipeline is laid with some discount on the previous rates.
