submerssible or compressor Motor for borewell

Post by sam_m400 »

Hi

Today i got inputs from Borewell motor fitters in sp road that compressor motor will have following disadvantages

1. for one inch pipel suction will be only .5 inch ,so efficient will be less as it used air to lift the water. so efficient is less
2. I need to be connected with GI pipe for20 ft in the begining which will heat up abnormally and anbody touching will get the sound
3. it will have sound noise

Advantages

easy maintances ,as can be got repaired easily as it is outside where submerssible need to spend 3000 Plus just for lifting the motor up.

Please do share anybody using compressor pump having following problems.

In Submerssible if water is not there ,the motor will burn as my neighbour motor is gone as security has ran the motor without water. As all aware water yield is getting less in borewells so it is possible it can spoil the submerssible water.

I have a question on Borewell motor starter,

Electic starter ==> L & T , Shanthi and few more brands are avalible but
(dry run mode is not there, dry run mode means if water is not there then bore motor will shut off )

Electronic Starter ==> elco and Gelco starter are available with dry run mode.

Which is the best Stater to use for Borewell motor.
Note: in further in wanted to install Automatic water level controller ; accordingly i wanted to plan.

I heard the same as motor people told me they will fix dry mode needed as safety for submerssible motor as water could reach empty sometimes which can damage teh motor. My electrician saying that kind of dry mode is not full proof as there is no sensing comming from below the bore that the water is not there for turning off the power supply. Current dry mode what they say is just bluff. I am not sure which is right ,and so confused as nobody has yet implemented in reality and experienced how does it work? . Please do share if anybody has installed this
