Civil-Aid is provided by all manufactured sand suppliers. What details we should look into to compare the quality.

Bharti -

Is there any other supplier also apart from above? Which brand you supply?

Thanks in advance!!!

kanukaushik, I think i have been taken for a ride. I didn't bargain much because Robo Silicon is a company and i thought they had fixed prices. 15,825/ includes tax and transport. In fact he quoted 750 including cost and transport. He added VAT on top of it.

Where all are you going to use this sand? I am thinking of only for compound (foundation + Wall) construction minus plastering.

Apart from plastering i will be using it for everything. Bharti mines & Rocks has given same quotation for me 740 + Tax. I am planning to go with Bharti as its well established name. They told plastering sand will be available by Nov end , so i will be using that for plastering.

kanukaushik wrote:Following are Manufactured/Artificial sand suppliers in Bangalore

http://www.robo.co.in/ -- Located in Bidadi , Roboplast is under R&D , Robo sand is avaialable
http://www.rocksand.in/ -- Mainly in AP , But have one unit in Bangalore. As of now it not working but will start in coming 2 months
http://www.bharathicement.com/mines-rock.aspx -- Located in Chickballapur , Plastering sand under R&D , Will be available by End of November
http://karnatakaenterprises.in/ -- They have plastering sand as well as normal sand both but expensive for me , might be due to distance , they quoted me around 55/cft
http://www.msand.in/ - Only in Kerala and TN

These manufacturers provides four types of products -
1) Manufactured sand for Concrete mixer used in RCC etc - Alternate of River sand
2) Manufactured sand for Concrete mixer used in Plastering - Alternate of River sand
3) 12mm , 20mm and 40mm jelly/Aggregate

Price for Manufactured sand is around 30/cft or 600/ton + Transportation charge around 3.5/Ton/KM + 5.5% Tax

Each ton of sand contains almost 20-22cft , almost same as River sand.

I called Bharti cement today , they sent sales guy with sample and visited a site where construction was going on. My site is around 60km from their Factory so they quoted 780/Ton (6 wheeler load containing around 20 tons or around 450 cft will cost around 15600 rs) including everything.

Planning to go with Manufactured sand. By the time i will require plastering , hopefully Plaster sand will be available.

Please provide your comments on same.

Thanks,
