Is there any disadvantages of using hollow blocks for compound wall?

I thought this is cheaper than bricks or solid blocks?

what would be the current rate per running feet for a compound wall now?

- 2 ft SSM (or foundation)
- 4.5 inches brick wall
- plastering
- 5' height from ground level

I got it done recently. It came to about 1050 without paint. this was for 4 feet wall.

thanks for the above info. Does any one know any contractor for constructing a compound for an empty 30x40 site. I prefer to use hollow block and any help would be appreciated...

precast compound wall might work out to be cheaper. Check this out. You dont need foundation for this.
