Need help on wood quote and red sal

Hi All,
I am planning to go for
1) red sal with honne shutters - For windows
2) Red Sal frame and Teak for Main Door
3) Red Sal frame and Solid/Vineer Doors for Internal Doors
4) Red sal + ready made doors (which can be used exclusively for bathrooms )

My building contractor is quoting 675 rs/SQFT for windows ( which includes only wood sal/honne +labour + hinges + glass ) Excludes - hexa rods , painting. Similarly for doors (275)... . Is this price in reasonable range ????

There are mixed openions of using red sal i.e Though it is hard wood people say it shrinks in first few years (even when reasonable seasoned ) is that true ?
Hone frame and Hone shutters will cost me too high price than sal frame and honne shutters ?
What kind of ready made doors fit for bathroom/wet area usage ?

Any one who has already used red sal +honne for the project can you please guide me you experience ??

Your contractor is keeping Rs 100 to Rs 150 Profit per SQFT profit for Windows.
Because

Window perSqft depends largely on type of windows etc.
Lets assume you have 5 x 4 window opening with 3 simple window , you require the following
Frame Wood (Cft) (section size 5"x3") = 2.7 = Rs 3800 (Red Sal @ 1200 Per Cft + VAT)
Shutter Wood Cft (section size 3"x1.5") = 1 = Rs 2500 ( Honne @ 2100 Per Cft + VAT)
Thattu & Design + Beading = (60 Rft + 18 ft of beading) = Rs 340 @ 4 /Rft
Labour ( 140 PSFT) = Rs 2800
Glass = Rs 450
Fittings = Rs 750( 2 Hinges + Stopper+ Tower bolts , Screws)
Hex Rods (65 Rft) = Rs 1105 ( 58 Per Kg Bright 12mm )
Sum Total = 585 Per SQFT ( if you make on your own) .

You cannot make 275 PSFT Solid doors with teak, it must be a Teak Veneer Moulded Panel Door. I recommend Kalpaturu for quality ( they are of similar price 250 ,when polished looks like solid door)
Solid Door + Frame calculation.
Lets Say for 7x3 Door with Door frame (African Teak for Frame + African Teak for Door) .
Door Frame Wood Cft 2.2 = Rs 7084( @ African Teak 2800 CFT + Tax)
Door Shutter Wood Cft(3.5 to 4 cft as per design, 1.5 " thick) = Rs 11K to 12 K ( @ African Teak Planks @ 3200 CFT)
Door Design + Door Frame Design + Beading = Rs 700
Door(frame+Shutter) Labour 175 PSFT = Rs 3675
Hinges +Fittings(Good Quality brass) = Rs 1500
Solid African teak Door Alone will cost you 700 PSFT
Total Door + Frame (African teak ) will cost you 1000 PSFT.

For Bath Room (Door and Frame) use any composite material like WPC, FRP etc. ( Solid Wood frame\door,Membrane flush doors are not suitable or long lasting) .

Thanks a tone for that detailed calculation , you know what my contractor was just giving frame +shutter+ glass that's it for rs 650/sqft . Now its my turn to chuck his carpenter out from my project .
