Mysore Dattagalli vs. Mysore Vijayanagar

I would like to start a discussion on Mysore real estate. I am not a broker; am a genuine buyer looking to retire in Mysore. I see the last discussions in bdasites group around feb/2009. Where are postings after that? And how come no postings in this website? Is there some other newsgroup?
Anyway, here is my Q-
I am trying to decide betw Dattagalli, Bogadi and V'nagar. I have recd quotes of Rs. 1000/sft in D'galli, Rs. 900/sft in V'nagar 4th stage - are these reasonable? Which of the above 3 places would you prefer?

dattagalli is a better choice if you are planning to reside there. Well settled ppl live there. Though cost is a bit more but worth it.
