Can I go ahead to buy a Plot in Arkavathy layout?

Hi,
I have heard many legal issues with Arkavathy layout along with denotification issue. I am planning to buy a plot a 1200 sq ft plot in Survey no. 19/1.17, Block 3, plot No.s 500+ and 470+. BDA NOC is available for this site. Please confirm is it ok to go ahead to buy this plot? is there any risks involved? do i need to do some checks before buying? price is around rs.5000/sq. ft.
