Khata Transfer

Hi All,
I need to do a khata transfer in my name from my father's name for a BDA site. The gift deed is already done in the last year. I approached some agents and also the BBMP office for the transfer of khata. However, came to know there is no way BBMP is going to do this work without bribe. When I approached the agents, they asked about Rs.5,000 to 6,000 for transfer, khata certificate and the khata extract to be done. I also approached the BBMP office directly and the clerk demanded Rs.3,500 plus the BBMP fee for the transfer of khata.

I want to know is there any way that i can get the Khata transfer done without paying bribe. Please share your experiences before i can proceed further.

I got my khata transferred after purchasing my BDA site. I have not paid any bribe. But have to visit couple of times to BDA office to get it..!!! (My area is still under BDA)

Get details of required documents,

If there are missing documents then you will get a signed note informing what are missing and you can act accordingly.

If its not provided in given timeline then you can use the RTI , to get the details ...!!!

Thank you for the reply, my site is in Nagarbhavi. It comes under BBMP. I am going to try getting the work done without bribe. Hope i am as lucky as you are!
