After the Water proofing plastering has been done for the greywater collection tank made up of 4 ft Cement Rings, currently its filled up with water to the full capacity and under observation for any kind of water leakage. Already 4 days completed. So far no change in the water level. It will be monitored for another 8-10 days. If no water drain out happens, then we can conclude the water proofing is perfect and the next work of plumbing provisions for the incoming and outgoing water Connections will be given & it will be closed with the heavy duty cement Cap, as this place is used for the 4 wheeler parking.

Moving forward, building the Bay windows in the Bed room is going on. providing Bay window eliminates the need for using chairs or Furnitures inside Bedrooms. We are using 6 X 2 ft Sadarahalli Stone Slab as the base for making the Bay Window. 3" is the thickness of these slabs. Excluding Max 6" occupied by the Window Frame, rest min 1.5 ft width is available for sitting usage. Advantage of going for the Stone Slab is, it doesn't need laying another layer of Granite or marble tiles over it & also it doesn't need painting outside. Only constraint is normally 2.0 ft width is the commonly available width in Stone Slabs. Transporting and supporting them is a big task, as they're very heavier. If we need more wider, it will be a custom size and to be ordered and procured exclusively, which may attract premium charge. More over, it will weigh much more heavy and transporting to higher levels and giving support in the construction phase is also a major challenge.

Hence, If we need more wider Bay Windows, its good to use the steel & RCC based slab. An example of Finished Bay Window with RCC slab is given for Reference.

First floor construction has reached up to the lintel level and expected to be ready for roofing preparation by next week. First picture shows you, how the sadarahalli Stone slab of 6 x 2 size is placed to make the Bay Window from inside.

Hi Praveen

Thanks a lot for your kind words.

In fact you are one of my mentor and I always follow your views from long time shared in this forum for the queries asked by anyone. From the time, I joined this group as a layman, it really helped me to get the much needed Gyan from the scratch.

CSEB Blocks were tested at BUREAU VERITAS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.

Hello MSN,
How do you know how many bricks are required for the construction? If there is any shortage, how do you manage?
