possession certificate in case of labor contract

Hi,
I got my house constructed using a mason as labor contractor.
Now, I have moved into my house and my firm is asking for possession certificate from builder as proof for IT returns.
My mason is not having any registered firm where i can obtain a possession certificate.
Whats the best way out for getting a possession certificate?
