Slightly confused here by some of the previous posts.

My FIL has a site bought through a society in 2006 - the site is in Jayamma Layout in Kengeri. He has been paying property tax to the BBMP for the last 7-8 years and the property now even has a new PID number (but no khata number). He does not have any documents for betterment charges paid - the assumption is that betterment charges are not paid either by the society or individually.

Now, can my FIL try to get a A Khata for this site? If yes, what is the procedure - a link will help here.

If no, then my assumption is that we should wait for the betterment charge collection to be expanded to individual sites so that we can go about getting A Khata - is this correct?

Guys,

Government has submitted the modified Akrama-Sakrama to the court recently. Is there we can know the progress of the case and its result through any website, other than seeing the news from newspapers?
Thanks very much in advance.
Regards,
Ramki
