Has anyone used wall papers/wall coverings? DO they easily peel off? I heard that they last only 5-6 years, Any inputs would be helpful

Multicharge vitrified tiles
We ordered some border tiles and it looks to be multicharge vitrified tiles.

What is the difference between multi charge and double charge? Or is it just a marketing term?

Re: UPVC windows : Fimen vs Fenesta?
I have only placed the order. Plastering is not yet complete at my site and hence LG folks have not yet come to take the measurement. They promised 45 days from measurement to install.

Re: UPVC windows : Fimen vs Fenesta?
JFYI- Fenesta windows were twice as expensive as LG without even considering Teak finish. It certainly looks awesome. On airflow front, certainly casement is better than sliding for same size (irrespective of UPVC /wood) provided one keeps it fully open. That said, my observation and inputs from my ...

Re: UPVC windows : Fimen vs Fenesta?
UPVC in teak finish indeed looks gorgeous. What was the cost/sq feet for those windows? Is the teak finish achieved by a thin film on top of the window? Does it last long? Is it Fenesta? Even though one can open casement windows 100%, in practice it does not happen that often given that there is mor...

Re: UPVC windows : Fimen vs Fenesta?
Grill work will add another 180-250 rs/sq feet depending on the grill design. My understanding is that it is required irrespective of whether it is wood or UPVC. Of course the cost of fixing the grills will be less with wood compared to UPVC as it would be fixed along side wooden frames. AFIK, fixin...

Re: roof tiles
Thanks, Praveen. Also found out that though discoloration does not happen easily for cement tiles, it will fade slowly and get discolored after 20-25 years. It is not possible to repaint the cement tiles. Mangalore tiles do have an issue that it needs to be repainted every 5 years and may get algae ...

Re: roof tiles
Has anyone used Monier cement tiles for roof? I am discussing with http://modernenterprises.biz/ and he was mentioning that discoloration will not happen in cement tiles unlike clay tiles. Cost was around 39 Rs/sq feet.

WHat is the cost/sq feet for Mangalore tiles? Does the color last long? Can it be repainted?
