Please do ask him to lay the foundation. Plinth tie should be above the foundation. Its all there for a reason. It is very important to get your structural plan done by Engg. Do not rely on contractor for this. A person [Your contractor] who tries to save labour and hesitates to put foundation right...

sam per my knowledge, 20 for granite and 12 for wall tiles is a good. Ppl usually charge 24-25 for granite and 14 for wall tiles.

Plumbing question
What is the right way of connecting hot water from solar water heater and Geyser to shower mixer? My plumber says he would connect the hot water line from solar heater to Geyser and then connect Geyser to Shower mixer. Is this correct ? With this arrangement, Cold water from geyser has to be drained...
