49% of 40 acres is 19.6 acres or 8,53,776 sft which is set aside only for the plots. With this, 400 plots of average size of 2134 sft can be formed. So, what is so fishy about it?

Re: Black money while buying a property

I believe alt least some of our salary classes are ignorant of the laws and rules. They think that the TDS made from their pay check is the end of their tax responsibility and don't bother to file their tax returns. When they talk about their after tax income, they always mention their take home pay ...

Re: Black money while buying a property

@kbaijuk, this is the exact thinking of all anti-corruption crusaders! We are all against black money and corruption as long as others are doing it and we don't have a chance to indulge in all those. Our perceptions change and we invent all sorts of innovative excuses the moment we smell blood! You ...

Re: Housing Loan Details

In this case, if I don't pay EMIs, the interest will pile up, and I will have to pay interest on the interest itself I guess? As per the example calculation in my first post, the interest works out to about 33K per month initially for 40L loan. Assuming the construction/moratorium time is 6months ...

Re: Housing Loan Details

1. When taking loan for a house under construction, I heard sometime back that banks don't charge interest till the house is ready for occupation. Is it true?
I don't think it is true. They do charge interest, but your EMIs don't start until completion of construction or until the 'moratorium ...

Poor Justice Patil. He didn't know the law! Dumb question though; do we have to inquire now how he became an SC judge if he at least didn't know that ignorance of law is no excuse to break it?

Re: Structured Cabling - Bangalore

Vimal,

A few years back I built a house with structured cabling almost similar to what you are thinking of doing. I did provide the central distribution panel and the wall boxes with modular jacks. All dirty work like chasing walls, routing conduits, pulling cables, fixing the panel and wall boxes ...
